“Dr Phillip is one of the best dentist I have ever come across in my life. He is a perfectionist, very meticulous in everything he does, approachable, friendly, and he will never push you to do anything that you may not be ready for or are uncomfortable with. I have had 5-6 fillings, two crowns fitted, several cleanings, and two root canals done so far. He has been super patient and amazing doctor and explains the entire process in detail. I loved his style to often use the pencil camera to find things that an x-ray may not be able to demonstrate to the patient the before and after images. His clinic is very clean and Liza is very approachable for scheduling appointments and setting up reminder texts/calls for upcoming appointments. great family. love the place and will recommend Dr. Phillip to everybody in a heartbeat. He is that good that even after moving to Michigan I drove 4.5 hours to just see him for a new tooth problem. I don’t think i can see any other dentist but him in future.”

“I switched to Dr. Philip after hearing about him on a local Facebook page (and sending my husband to test the waters!). I was incredibly impressed with his state of the art set-up. HIs bedside manner is second to none. I have been a nurse for a very long time, and can sort out the A-team from the B-team. Dr. Philip is definitely an A+ player. Unfortunately, I had some dental issues that had been overlooked by my previous dental provider. Dr. Philip was thorough in his assessment and explanation of the dental work I needed. When it was time for the work to be done, I can honestly say I didn’t feel a thing. He used a topical anesthetic prior to the injection. His technique was great. I was numb without and adverse side effects as I have had in the past. The work was done and I am pleased with the results. I would highly recommend him. His wife, Liza, is a pleasure to deal with on the office end.”

“We recently brought our 3 year old daughter in for her first ever dental care visit. I was apprehensive for her sake because I knew she needed a solid cleaning but I doubted she would tolerate the treatment very well. Dr Philip and Liza were both so amazing with her and we had an incredibly successful appointment! The most wonderful part was that Dr Philip allowed and encouraged me to hold my daughter while she was getting her teeth cleaned. He engaged with her on her 3 yr old level and kept her distracted and affirmed that she was doing a great job for the entire time he was treating her. I knew the whole time that he would stop at any point if we thought she wasn’t tolerating the appointment well, but it wasn’t necessary. Her teeth were actually sparkling when we left.

I’m so happy we found Wheaton Family Dental! I took a 6-year hiatus from dental care and was apprehensive about what awaited me when I made my first appointment. Dr. Philip couldn’t have been any more kind and welcoming.

He’s incredibly empathetic to what his patients experience in the chair and SO good at communicating through the process. He doesn’t just say “you have x number of cavities”, he takes pictures of every situation that needs to be addressed and shows you the image on a big screen to help you understand what the problem is, how it grew, and what the resolution is. For the first time ever, I was able to understand what a cavity actually looks like (I had a huge one, if I had known what to look for I would have gone in so much earlier!). He also showed me every step (again, in pictures) of what he found as he drilled down until he got to healthy tissue. It was a very practical learning experience that will help me take better care of my teeth in the future.

Dr. Philip is incredibly positive and warm. Whenever he had to give me some bad news, he rounded it out with something good. “This tooth is in a borderline emergency situation, but I think we can fix it without a root canal!”, “for being away from dentistry for six years, your teeth don’t look that bad!” (believe me, they did), and near the end of him giving me the full report on my teeth after the cleaning I said “so it’s six cavities I have in total?” and he said “well, if we’re counting, then yes we are up to six.” I had to laugh.

I’ll be coming at least twice a year from now on, and not just because I want to avoid future problems, but because visiting the office of Wheaton Family Dental was a totally pleasant experience.”

“I’ve had so many bad experiences as far as going to the dentist. But Dr. Philip was awesome. I’ve been to him a few times and took my kids also. Though it’s tough, he makes it easy. He walks you through the whole procedure and makes sure you are comfortable. I drive an hour to drive to get to him, but worth it. Liza is also an amazing person to deal with. “My husband, four children, and I have enjoyed having Dr. Philip and his wife, Liza, care for all of our dental needs! We have had some wonderful dentists in the past, but our experience with Dr. Philip has exceeded them all. From the first day we entered their office, they treated us respectfully and professionally, while still maintaining a light, fun atmosphere. We were blown away by the amount of time Dr. Philip took to examine and care for our teeth. He was extremely thorough and took the time to explain the various options we had available, always taking into account our thoughts and opinions.

Since our family is rather large, they typically block off most of the day to work on us. If the kids have any issues, instead of having to schedule yet another appointment, Dr. Philip is willing to complete the work that same day! That makes a huge difference and is so helpful.

Our most recent adventure with Dr. Philip happened on Mother’s Day, 2013. Our youngest son, 7 at the time, was playing outside, running full speed but not looking ahead. He crashed into a stone wall and ended up not only needing stitches but cracking five permanent teeth! We were in the E.R. that evening until about 10pm. The E.R. doctor highly recommended following up with our dentist as soon as possible. We contacted Dr. Philip and not only did he make himself available that evening, but he worked on our son until past midnight that evening, to make sure he was taken care of. That is the kind of care we receive from the Wheaton Family Dental Care. We wouldn’t go anywhere else! Thank you, Dr. Phillip and Liza, for the excellent service you provide.”
